Brandon Gant: Killed While Getting Medicine For His Mother

On the morning of September 6th, Brandon Gant drove his mother's Toyota Corolla to Southeast D.C., with the task of picking up her medication from the local pharmacy. However, what meant to be an act of kindness became a tragedy when Gant pulled up at 18th Street and another driver cut Minnesota Avenue off before two gunmen stepped out and fired their weapons at him without warning. Wounded, Gant succumbed to his injuries. The police suspect this deadly attack may have been a case of mistaken identity which claimed the life of a 23-year-old man with noble intentions.
