Noni Battiste-Kosoko, 19, was apprehended in Union City, Georgia on May 20, 2023 with a bench warrant because of her absence at her misdemeanor trespassing and vandalism trial. To those locked up alongside her, it became apparent that she requires mental health support more than anything else. A previous cellmate unveiled how often they'd awaken to Battiste-Kosoko conversing as if hearing voices and banging her skull against the frigid prison walls.
