When Dawnita Wilkerson vanished in June 2020, her friends and family feared the worst. Rumors of her ex-boyfriend and his relatives threatening her only made their anxieties worse. Despite the police's best efforts to search for leads, it is now three years later with no progress in her case.
Dawnita was a black woman with tattoos on her lower back, right shoulder, and left arm. She went missing from a motel in Evansville, Indiana at 8:16 p.m. on June 21st, 2020 and was last seen getting into a silver 2004 Chevy Suburban. Her phone was turned off soon after, which was unusual considering she regularly called home. Additionally, Dawnita had medical conditions that require medication she doesn't have access to.
If you know anything about Dawnita's disappearance or have seen her since then, please contact law enforcement officials immediately. We must put an end to this heinous crime and bring justice to her family. Let us pray for her safe return while staying vigilant and safe ourselves.
