Shanene McClain's anguish was palpable as she left the Colorado courtroom on September 22nd, 2023. Her son, Elijah McClain, tragically passed away after being subjected to a merciless assault by police officers in Aurora, Colorado. On August 24th, 2019, Elijah's life was cut short. This aspiring massage therapist and animal lover was only 22-years-old when he died but will forever be remembered for his kindheartedness and love of music. His death led to an upsurge of public outcry and calls for justice. Colorado will never forget Elijah in honor of his kindheartedness and love of music.
